ICMT: The Comeback!

I'm Katy McKinley and you're listening to "I Can Make That: Conversations with Creatives".

I have been existing in a world of art, sewing and other various forms of creativity my entire life. Along my crafty journey, I have collected quite the group of talented characters that I get to call my friends. Instead of keeping their wisdom and wit all to myself, I'm using this podcast to bring them to you.

Behind every piece of art is a human being who went through a range of successes and failures, in making and in life, and I'm here to share their stories.

There's nothing more exciting to me than finally being able to share that I'm bringing back the “I Can Make That: Conversations with Creatives” podcast. It has been an obnoxious amount of time that I have not interviewed my friends, talked about my friends, shared my friends with you. I have so many creative people surrounding me at all times and it's really like it's worth getting to know them.

It's worth listening to them. It’s worth just understanding how they got where they are, where they hope they can end up and just, you know, like get to know them, understand the people and their voices and the faces behind all of the creative things that you get to see in your daily feed. I started the podcast in 2019 and I had nine guests and I have listened back on those episodes multiple times because I just get so excited and I'm so proud of the fact that, you know, I was able to create those episodes and talk to them and just get into their lives a little bit.

And now I took a long break. I took a long ass break. I think my last episode was in January of 2020. So it's been, yeah, three years since I have done anything with this podcast. And I keep saying, I'm going to come back, I'm going to come back. Bennett, Bennett (I’m talking to my husband) like, I really, really want to do the podcast again and I just never took the time.

And so now here I am, I've got a lineup already going and I hope to have it launched, let's say end of February, early March, and you get to listen to all these amazing people and you get to learn their stories and hopefully introduce me to even more people that we can get on as guests because I would love more people to talk to, more people to share about and more, you know, people to learn to follow and be inspired by and just enjoy listening to them share their lives and their creativity and everything.
